10. Leg Abductions

  • Get heart rate up, burn calories
  • Quads working, increase flexibility by waking up connective tissue
  • Strengthening inner thigh as leg is lifted
  • Legs parallel, hands to hips
  • Plie down and lift left leg out to side


Knees bent

  • Face barre and place both hands on barre
  • Lift one knee up, place it down, plie
  • Lift the opposite knee, place it down, plie


Variation on Leg Abduction

  • Leg moves out to side
  • Leg moves back with foot flexed
  • Leg moves out to the side
  • Legs meet together in parallel position
  • Keeping straight posture
