Assessing Your Rates
Deciding on your rates is difficult for many folks starting out. Some factors to consider:
- Local Average
- National Average
- Similar Industry Service
- Your Income Needs
- Your Expenses
It is worth noting that there has been a notion floating around that "true" healers don't charge. To this, I say "true" healers need to eat. Healers that do not charge enough for their services often find themselves earning income through outside revenue streams. Oftentimes, really talented folks have no time for their craft because of this. I personally subscribe to the idea that all services need to be presented as an energy exchange. While this can be defined as hours for dollars, or services for need, all parties involved are best served when contributing. In modern society, money is a means of energy exchange, in lieu of say...trading goats.
