Chapter 7

• Transducer - a device that converts the signal generated by one form of energy to another

form of energy.

Sound can be thouaht of as a form of transducer. The enerav of sound forms a palpable

bridge between the subtle realms and the world of physical manifestation.

• Our internal vibratory rates are in a state of flux. Thev can go from slow to fast within short

timespans and can be effected by the vibration speed of our surroundings.

The five elements provide more expansive definitions of energetic processes that also include

qualities of consciousness and related modes of being and perception.

Earth: located at the base of the spine and lower back, slowest vibration, grounded and

connection to the physical planet Earth.

Water: genitals up through naval, fluidity and flow, open to change, midrange vibration.

Fire: naval to bottom of sternum, faster vibration with more energized expression,

contributes to drive and forward momentum, sharp staccato rhythms at fast tempo.

Air: bottom to top of rib cage / heart area, fastest vibration, light and expansive, energized momentum but less intense than the fire element, fast paced modulating tones

Ether: throat, highest element that contains all four previous elements, relates directly to sound and hearing, noiseless sound beyond the silence.

Bija mantra - primal units of sound energy crafted to facilitate attunement to the fundamental essence of their corresponding element, sound seeds

- Lam = Earth, Vam = Water, Ram = Fire, Yam = Air, Ham = Ether, Om (Aum) = All Elements
